Kronicler is a writing app for long fiction. When a character learns a secret or turns on an ally, you mark that sentence, and Kronicler remembers the chapter.
No account needed for either.
The problem
Your notes are a second book.
Maybe it’s a spreadsheet, maybe a folder of documents. You update it by hand after you write the scene. Usually a few scenes after. And it holds one version at a time: when the hero and the rival fall out in chapter 26, you change “allies” to “enemies”, and your notes forget they were ever on the same side.

Why I made Kronicler
I’ve been building one story world, Zoonya, for years. It has over a hundred characters and places. Every time I came back to it after a break, I spent the first week reading my own notes and finding out they were wrong, because I’d changed the book and not the notes.
So I built Kronicler, where the record lives inside the book itself.
It’s the only reason I know what’s true in chapter forty.

Is it free?
Free while Kronicler is in beta. Paid plans will come later.
Can I try it without signing up?
Yes. Open the example, a Sherlock Holmes casebook, with no account, or start your own world as a guest. Guest work isn’t backed up, so add an email when you want to keep it.
Do I need to install anything?
No. It runs in your browser, on your computer and your phone.
Can I bring the book I’ve already started?
Yes. Import your manuscript and your notes: Word (.docx), Excel (.xlsx) and more.
Is it only for novels?
No. Any long story: novels, comics, scripts.
Does it use AI on my writing?
No. Kronicler keeps only what you mark, and nothing you write goes to an AI.
Who can read my writing?
